Den skotske Brownie

I need an artist who can draw hands and fingers!

My Lady Inspiration’s daughter, who was born deaf, received cochlear implants in 2005 og kan nu høre. As I started to write about the Scottish Brownie I needed a name for the heroine. I asked my friend and she, in turn, asked her daughter if I could borrow the daughter’s name. Den unge dame blev opkaldt til ære for en europæisk dronning og gav mig tilladelse til at bruge hendes navn i historierne, hvis pigen i historien bliver en dronning. (Talk about a major condition!)

Fabiola’s first adventure! An evil witch has kidnapped Fabiola’s mother and little sister. Fabiola would have been captured also but the brownie that lived in Fabiola’s kitchen came to the rescue. Fabiola is totally deaf and must rely on the brownie and a new friend as she tries to free her family.

She discovers that her new friend is deaf also, but he has a way of communicating with her – a sign language that he learned in a school. The school’s teacher was a princess – could she be the princess from ‘The Deaf Prince’?

Aside from the bigger problem of finding a publisher – there is a small problem with this story. I need a name for the brownie. The name I used while writing it is in reality the name of a major European company. Since I don’t want a lawsuit I need a new name.

If you have a suggestion for his name would you please send me a message please. Who knows, yours might be the right name for this little hero.

Tak,

Tom
